It's Friday again!

So o.k. it's Saturday but I wanted to use my clever title anyway. So close your eyes and pretend it's Friday. Now, open them because if you don't you won't be able to read the post, unless you are really talented in which case, well done! *wink*

So, anyhow, now that you're imagining that it's Friday, on with the show! (I've always wanted to say that)

In honor of Friday, the day that, no matter what, comes around every week. (O.k. so they all do but whatever-lol) I thought that I would do Repeatition stamping in honor of our repeat day. Get it? Repeatition? Repeat Day? O.k. so maybe it's only funny in my head. (I didn't get much sleep can you tell?)

So, what is Repeatition Stamping? Why it's stamping that you repeat!

Step 1. Ink your image

Step 2. Stamp it onto your cardstock

Step 3. Without reinking your image stamp it again elsewhere on your cardstock. (Thus repeating step 2, and doing repeatition stamping)

Easy Peasy my blog reading friends!

So, here is my sample! Cute huh?! I would like to thank my friend Belinda (blog at the right) for allowing me to come and raid her stamp room to create this for you. I wanted to use Belinda's scraps so that I wouldn't feel too awful for using her stuff and I came across a peice of whisper white cardstock that her lovely DD decided to stamp directly in the middle of and then cut out her image, leaving all this space around it. So I cut a peice from that. I realized after I was done that this card fits the Sketch Challenge on SCS. LOL

Supplies: Whisper White CS, Mellow Moss CS, Kraft CS, Mellow Moss Classic Ink, Staz-On Jet Black Ink, Mellow Moss Gingham Ribbon, Kraft Grosgrain (formerly Taupe grosgrain), Garden Silouhettes stamp set, Baroque Motifs stamp set

First I cut my WW cs and then I inked up my image with MM ink. I stamped my image and then without reinking I stamped it again. I repeated these two steps until I got my desired look. Then I mounted my newly stamped peice onto Kraft CS. Then I attached Kraft ribbon. That didn't stand out enough to me so I added Mellow Moss Gingham ribbon over top of it. You can see a hint of the Kraft ribbon. Looks so pretty IRL. Then I added the finished peice to my Mellow Moss Cardbase. Realizing that I now had no room for a sentiment (o.k. so I could have done a small on but didn't want to) I decided to stamp it directly onto the WW piece. So I stamped Cherish from Baroque Motifs using Staz-On. And there you have it! This card took me about 2 minutes to do. I absolutely love the way this turned out! And I have the perfect person to send it to!
